For the past couple of years - I've seen this odd little doodle scrawled here and there throughout the city. I always loved this artist's style and wondered who he was.
THEN - I had the serendipitous privilege of meeting him on Saturday!
He was selling sketches and paintings on Queen Street.
I went over and said "You're THAT guy!"... I told him I love his style and we got to chatting.
He is a neat fellah.... and gave me his card and some really cool stickers he had made. He does Art Therapy and other creative endeavours that leave me in awe.... It was inspiring to see him crouched in a ray of sunlight, painting away. He had that blissful look little kids get when they're in the zone - creating something without worry about how it's going to turn out.
His name is Charlie - Charlie Green....
It was weird - meeting someone whose little doodles have intrigued me for so long . It was up there with having pints with the Zombie King. It's the little things in life that leave me smiling.
I like knowing a guy named Charlie Green is out there doing his thing :)
