I was in the lobby with a co-worker when I spied a big fat jar of candy canes on the front desk. I tried to pry the lid off but it was stuck tight! My co-worker looked shocked and politely asked if I was going to count the candy canes before making my guess.....
Turns out the treats are for the "CHUM-City children's Christmas Wish guess how many candy canes contest"
Boy did I feel like a chump.... Thank God I didn't get the lid off! I thought it was just a little jar of office treats for the general public and corporate rifraf....
What's next - stealing the Tim Horton's Camp for Kid's receptacles? Perhaps I can go kick a veteran in the shins while he or she is handing out poppies....
