CBC - But ALL the OTHER media outlets are doing it!

This is the response I got today regarding my complaint about CBC referring to alleged serial killer Robert Pickton as Robert William Pickton.

'For reasons that I am not aware, the media, not just the CBC, but all media
outlets, seem to identify some infamous killers by their full given names:
Lee Harvey Oswald, John Wayne Gacy etc.'

THAT's their response! Everybody else is doing it - We wanna be hip like Global and CTV! And by some dude named JACK BLACK. Oh well at least they responded. I like muck raking.... heh heh

Now, now CBC if all the other networks jumped off a cliff.......

PICKTON MURDER TRIAL LEADS TO GRUMPY OLD MAN LETTER TO CBC

I sent the following to the CBC today. I wonder if they'll care.

I would ask that the cbc consider refraining from referring to Robert Pickton as Robert William Pickton. When else does the media do this? It lends a certain infamy to someone who certainly doesn't deserve more of our attention. Please call him Robert Pickton. I don't know the middle name of PM Stephen Harper, or NHL player Sidney Crosby. Why should I know Pickton's?
